Our Curriculum

Judaic Studies - Limudei Kodesh

Yeshiva Elementary School's highly trained teaching staff of Rebbeim and Moros follows a detailed curriculum in which each grade reviews, strengthens and builds on the knowledge and skills acquired in the previous grade. Our teachers use evaluation tools to ensure that our students are reaching the benchmarks of each year’s curriculum.

We have a warm and caring environment where students feel safe and secure, which encourages and teaches proper character traits and ethical conduct. Our staff caters to the unique needs and abilities of individual students by using centers or flexible grouping, allowing for a more individualized learning environment.

Our curriculum has been designed to provide students with the tools necessary to succeed in high school and beyond. YES graduates continue on to Yeshivos and Jewish high schools and are fully prepared with superior skills.

General Studies - Limudei Chol

Rich in content and focused on preparing children for their future, Yeshiva Elementary School’s curriculum is rooted in national and state standards.

Our talented staff are well-versed in formative assessment and differentiated instruction and use a variety of modalities to reach every student. Our teachers work diligently to prepare engaging and leveled lessons for our students. Using data to drive our instruction, YES utilizes MAP tests (Measures of Academic Progress) to pinpoint student strengths and weaknesses.

Through the High School Readiness Program, our middle school students engage in self-reflection and are guided to monitor their own growth as they reach for higher levels of excellence.

Student Services Department

Yeshiva Elementary School’s Student Services Department (special education program) is designed to meet the needs of the individual student within the context of their classroom.

Our robust student services staff are all highly trained and work with children who need extra support and children who benefit from enrichment opportunities. Honing in on the unique strengths and weaknesses of each child, they work with parents, teachers, and administrators to support each child’s journey to success.

The extensive efforts of the Student Services Department in developing and shaping a personalized and individualized plan for every child's needs is but one illustration of the overall focus, care and dedication all of our teachers and administrators have for every child at YES.

YES is proud to be fully accredited by Cognia.
